I ignore one line demands I have put a lot of time and effort into making these PDF's. They are made up from threads I have started on RMWeb, inevitably these threads have lots of comments I remove those to create the PDF's.The threads help me a lot when you are in the habit of making things without too much thought it is quite difficult to put things down consecutively. I also get a lot of help from the other modellers and I am grateful to those who make constructive comments.
The PDF's they are all 0 Gauge but the techniques will work in 00, S & larger scales.
1/. How to make an 0-4-0 side tank loco from card. A Y8 cost £30.
2/. How to make wagons from card. Average cost £12.
3/. How to make a DC controller using just 3 semiconductors. These instructions assume that you can solder but know nothing about electronics. Buying all the components about £23.
4/. How to make your own points, this assumes that you have never used a file or a soldering iron. A whole micro layouts worth of track and points can easily be made for the cost of one commercially made point and to your own radii.

Wagon drawings, a loco drawing, point drawing and photos of point blades and a frog.
This is my Maltby layout when under construction.
The loco is made from card including the chassis.
The wagons from card including the W irons, axle boxes and brake gear.
Close up they are not like RTR or kits but from a viewing distance who can tell?
Using these techniques I can make something very cheaply that cannot be bought as RTR or a kit.
